AIGA Charlotte & A Rad Evening with Kyle Letendre
We live in an era of quick fixes and instant gratification, but there’s still value in doing things the long way. In fact, the further we reach into the digital world, the more we seem to crave things that were made by hand. Kyle has learned the importance of patience and due diligence, even in an era where everyone and everything is at our finger tips, and Kyle’s talk will walk through the journey from in-house designer to freelancer, and all the mistakes made along the way.
Kyle Letendre is a freelance lettering artist, illustrator and designer based out of Chicago. Born and raised in the suburbs of Saint Paul, Minnesota, and attending to college in rural Iowa to pursue a Vocal Performance degree. There Kyle discovered he was much more excited to run home and draw than he was to practice music. After moving to Chicago, Kyle obtained a BFA in Graphic Design. Since graduating he’s had the pleasure of working with Delicious Design League, Firebelly Design and Superfly before branching out into full-time freelance in March 2017 where he specializes in crafting bold, expressive lettering and illustration for global brands and small businesses alike.
