Taming Disruptive Digital Transformation with Ron Babin:  In order to keep pace with and prevail over the competition, the strategic value of rapidly changing information technologies such as social, mobile, analytics, and cloud – SMAC – cannot be ignored. Technology specialists can develop the infrastructure, but real effectiveness depends on business leaders with bigger picture insights who can lead IT implementation to achieve strategic priorities.
This session will demystify the four game-changing technologies, examining the capabilities, enablers and constraints. Participants will understand and explore potential opportunities for innovative competitive advantage.

Strategic foresight and agile thinking: April 29, 2019

Strategic Foresight with Megan Mitchell:  Innovative businesses understand that the development of innovative products and services utilizes a different approach to product and service development than traditional incremental thinking. Using the most relevant tools and techniques, with a focus on user needs at the outset, increases the likelihood that proposed solutions will achieve commercial success.

 

The Internet of Everything with Alex Manu:  Discover the possibilities present at the intersection between latent needs and current technology through enhanced awareness of macro trends and global behaviour shifts.

The introduction to your Action Learning Project–led by Program Director  Megan Mitchell–will take place on this date.

Managing the workforce for tomorrow: May 9, 2019

Managing the Workplace for Tomorrow with Shane Saunderson: Speculating on the future of technology integration into our offices and employees, this talk shares perspectives on how our role as workers is evolving and what risks and implications we need to consider as we tackle with topics like mass job loss, distributed working, and maker culture.
This session looks at the challenges and opportunities facing organizations and leaders given the growing impact of this digitalization and technology. Participants will learn how to develop effective business strategies to successfully manage transformational change.

The Applied Learning Project presentations and feedback– led by Megan Mitchell–will also take place this day.
