Job Phishing Scam Alert
It has come to our attention that there is an active job offer scam in the market posing as Marketing Talent Inc. These individuals use SMS text message and Whatsapp to randomly send job offers in a seemly targeted manner. This is of course not a legitimate job offer process and their goal is to steal your banking information. Unfortunately, it isn’t just happening to us, these criminals use many major employer brands as a front for their activities.
What to do: Never respond to a random text message with a job offer. Report and block the number.
You will never receive a random text with a job offer, it simply does not happen.
Why are these types of scams becoming more effective? It seems as though these bots are getting better at targeting people that specifically match the job titles and align with a company that is likely to hire for that particular role.
