AMA Toronto’s Marketing Hall of Legends was created to honour Canadians who have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of excellence in the field of marketing and to inspire and build marketing leaders as well as future legends. AMA Toronto is broadening the property to give the community direct access to our inducted legends through a new series of quarterly events called; Legendary Leadership. These events will helps us understand how their ideas and contributions to marketing and brand building have made a tremendous impact in the marketplace.
On April 9th, we will be speaking with Arthur Fleischmann, President/CEO of John st. to find out why he thinks following trends is killing your business. This intimate conversation will reveal how we can learn from his extensive experience and apply this to our everyday challenges.
Arthur has come a long way from the streets of Queens, NY. Before deciding on a life in advertising, his career included stints in both sales and marketing (at Xerox and Kraft Foods, respectively). In 2001, he co-founded John st. with the goal of fostering a “creative collaborative,” one without the silos and bureaucracy he’d seen in previous organizations. Arthur brings his sense-making abilities, vision for innovation and passion for building high-functioning groups to his clients’ executive teams. He is a passionate advocate for people living with autism and his bestselling book, Carly’s Voice, has been translated into eight languages.
