As Marketing Talent continues with rapid growth in their Toronto head office, and with the recent expansion into the US market, the Canadian operations have seen an increase in demand and have brought on Una Karanovic as an Account Manager to expand recruiting capacity. “As Marketing Talent has now gained a strong reputation locally in Toronto as a top destination for passionate marketers looking to hire or develop their career options, the pace of organic new business has picked up quite rapidly.” says Craig Lund, President of Marketing Talent Inc.
Karanovic comes to Marketing Talent with over 5 years of recruiting experience, namely with her role at Just Energy, the worlds largest green energy re-seller and most recently as a recruiter for Danish recruitment firm Viktek, a specialized high skill recruitment firm. “We put Una through the ringer with interviews for this role, one that is going to be critical for the ongoing success of the company, with each stakeholder she met, the sentiment was unanimous that she was the right choice for the team” says Lund. As for Karanovic, the feeling is mutual “I am extremely excited and optimistic about my new role. My goal is to grow with Marketing Talent and gain not only work but also life experience. Meet Una Karanovic – Account Manager – Toronto
If I may share a little bit about myself. My name is Una Karanovic. I was born in former Yugoslavia. I believe I’m defined by my magnetic personality, my zest for life, and my curious nature. I’m also proud to be recognized for my loyalty in honoring my commitments and the utmost empathy for helping those in need. I have been fortunate enough to gain a lot of life experiences internationally throughout my life, and although it has not always been the easiest, it has brought me great perspective.
It has also made me passionate about making a difference and having a positive impact on my environment. In my early teens my family received Refuge to Canada fleeing the Balkan war. After high school I decide to study International trade/marketing where I received a marketing degree. Fresh out of school I was hired by the Ottawa Bluesfest where I did Public Relations and marketing coordination.
After my contract was over with the Bluesfest, I moved to Toronto and was hired as a regional recruiter for Just Energy, the number one Green Energy retailer in North America with 56 offices across Canada, U.S and Europe. I was very fortunate to gain five years of recruitment experience and was also recognized for my efforts as the top recruiter in 2013. Looking to broaden my horizons, I decided to join a Viktech a Danish recruitment firm where I gained experience and insight into the construction & development industry and business development. Unfortunately, Viktech chose to downsize their Canadian operations after two years of being in the industry. Fortunately for me the timing was right to join Marketing Talent.
